FAQs: Shipping, Storage & Bread Care
Ordering & Shipping
How long does shipping take?
We offer standard 2 business day shipping with a 3-day lead and prep time per order. Lead time starts from the date of order confirmation. We bake your order fresh before shipping, so you receive bread at peak quality.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship within the continental United States. Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories may have longer delivery times and may incur additional shipping charges. Contact us before ordering to these locations.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. Free shipping on all orders over $50. For orders under $50, standard shipping rates apply at checkout.
Can I choose a delivery date?
We do not currently offer date-specific delivery. If you are ordering for a specific occasion, we recommend placing your order at least 7 business days in advance to account for our 3-day prep time plus 2-day shipping.
How is the bread packaged for shipping?
Each loaf is wrapped in wax paper and packaged in a sturdy box designed to protect it during transit. We do not use vacuum sealing because it can compress the bread and affect texture.
Bread Care & Storage
How should I store my bread?
Store wrapped bread at room temperature in a bread box or paper bag for up to 3 days. Avoid storing in plastic, which traps moisture and accelerates mold. In warm or humid climates, refrigerate in an airtight bag for up to 1 week. To restore texture after refrigerating, warm at 350°F for 5-8 minutes.
Can I freeze banana bread and zucchini bread?
Yes. Our breads freeze exceptionally well for up to 3 months. Wrap tightly in the provided wax paper, then place in a freezer-safe bag or container. For easy single servings, slice before freezing. Thaw at room temperature for 1-2 hours, or warm frozen slices directly in a 350°F oven for 10 minutes.
How long do sourdough brownies stay fresh?
Sourdough brownies keep at room temperature for 3-4 days, in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, and in the freezer for up to 3 months. Wrap individually in plastic wrap before freezing. Thaw at room temperature or warm briefly in the microwave.
How long does granola stay fresh?
Our Crunchy Mom Organic Granola stays fresh in its sealed bag for up to 3 months. Once opened, transfer to an airtight container and consume within 4-6 weeks for best crunch and flavor. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Ingredients & Allergens
What sweetener do you use?
We use coconut sugar in nearly all of our products instead of refined white or brown sugar. Coconut sugar is less processed, has a lower glycemic index than refined sugar, and adds a subtle caramel depth to our baked goods. We also use local honey from Steele Legacy Honey in some recipes.
Where do your ingredients come from?
We source as locally as possible from our Idaho suppliers. Our organic flour comes from Hillside Grain in the Treasure Valley. Eggs come from Plain Folk Farms. Honey comes from Steele Legacy Honey. Zucchini is locally grown in Idaho when in season. We are proud to be an Idaho Preferred designated bakery.
Are your products allergen-free?
No. All of our baked goods contain wheat and eggs. Many contain dairy, tree nuts, peanuts, coconut, and soy depending on the recipe. All products are baked in a shared facility that processes all of these allergens. We cannot guarantee any product is free from cross-contamination. Please check individual product pages for specific allergen information.
Is your granola gluten-free?
Our Crunchy Mom Organic Granola is made with certified gluten-free oats and contains no gluten ingredients. However, it is produced in a facility that also processes wheat products. If you have celiac disease or severe gluten sensitivity, please be aware of this cross-contamination risk.
Are your oats glyphosate-free?
Yes. The oats in our granola are certified Glyphosate Residue Free. This is a third-party certification that tests for glyphosate residue, which is the active ingredient in Roundup and is commonly found in conventionally grown oats. Learn more in our blog post about glyphosate-free granola.
Returns & Issues
What is your return policy?
Because our products are perishable food items, we do not accept returns or exchanges unless the product was damaged during shipping. If you receive damaged bread or brownies, take a photo of the product and contact us within 3 days of receiving your order at norasfamilybakery@gmail.com. We will issue a refund or send a replacement.
What if my order arrives late?
Shipping delays occasionally happen due to carrier issues. If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery window, contact us and we will work with the carrier to locate your package. If the bread arrives stale due to a shipping delay, we will make it right.
